Dr. Madaras’ project experience includes a wide variety of educational, cultural, civic, hospitality, worship, corporate, residential and entertainment facilities. His projects range in size from Ferrari World, the first Ferrari branded F1 racetrack & amusement park in Abu Dhabi, UAE ( www.yasisland.ae ) to his neighbor’s low-budget, basement recording studio.
Dr. Madaras has been awarded the Robert B. Newman Award for Merit in Architectural Acoustics and his research has won an award from the Institute of Noise Control Engineering. His work in architectural acoustics has been featured in periodicals such as Architecture Magazine, Progressive Architecture, World Book’s Science Year, Pro AV magazine and Chicago Architect magazine. He has presented numerous papers at ASA, AES, ACSA, AIA, CSI, INCE & USITT professional meetings. He is a full member of the Acoustical Society of America and an Associate Member of the American Institute of Architects.
